Day 3-09

DAY 2: FROM MONROEVILLE, NJ TO MIDDLETOWN, NY

Our second day had commenced in Monroeville, NJ. Monroe Station had been its nickname due to the train depot located in the area in the 1800s, but was mostly farms and wooded areas. A nice colonial style building with traditional architecture. The structure had plants hanging from the columns of the front porch. We really then took in the landscape which included a very serene pond. It is amazing to tell the story of our tour with the I.D. 4 to the interested people at the dealers, such as Burlington VW. The colonial architecture took us back in time as we drove past quaint, old-fashioned buildings and homes. This style has been very popular in the New England area dating far back in the U.S.’s timeline. A magnificent rainbow gifted us with its presence. The I.D. 4 looked super in front of the majestic view. In an additional ID. 4, our friends at Princeton VW were kind enough to help us find our way around Princeton, the famous university town. The host of Princeton University, the fourth-oldest institution of higher education in the United States. The Ivy League institution was founded in 1746 and has birthed many notable alumni in history. The town featured many very European style homes, as well. Thanks to our friends at Colonial VW, we had Philly cheesesteaks in Philadelphia, they were fantastic. The Philly cheesesteak is a sandwich consisting of thinly sliced beef steak, grilled on a sliced roll typically with American cheese or Provolone. The I.D. 4 charged at an Electrify America station and then our day winded down in Middleton, NY.
