Day 23 has arrived and we began in Livonia, MI. We visited Volkswagen Credit in Auburn Hills along with Electrify America representatives. Due to COVID and the office moving , we met a few of the nice employees. We took a photo with them and some nice ladies from Electrify America showed off the I.D. 4’s Electrify America decal. On the highway we saw some real big rigs. These massive trucks had 22 wheels or 12 axels. When we pulled off and drove through a neighborhood a kind man and his son let us check out their collection of vintage cars. They really loved their classic American cars and they restored theirs superbly. We stopped in Bay City and saw this large red building. This is the Delta College Planetarium, built in 1993. In Bay City, we also got to visit this vintage Budget Inn built in 1951. It was also very interesting to see a tree whose branches had grown split like a V-shape. Ironically mimicking the road sign below it. On our way to Traverse City, we passed through an old-fashioned town that transported us back to the 1940’s. We then stopped by this cabin-esque building. It had a blue roof and a big blue deer on top. The blue matched the I.D. 4 very nicely. As we were driving we saw a long cloud of black smoke. We found that it was a truck pull event with trucks that had large exhaust pipes pulling a trailer. The Bear Company in Traverse City had a huge brown bear on display for us to admire. Even at night we work diligently to produce our content to share our journey with you all! As we leave an Electrify America charging station we see the nice green glow in our rearview mirror.
