DAY 86: GROVETOWN, GA TO COLUMBUS, GA

The eighty-sixth day of the ID. 4 tour started off in Grovetown, GA. We would like to extend our thanks to Daniela, the VW Regional Sales Manager for her exceptional help. Travelling westward through the middle of the Peach State, we landed in Atlanta, GA. In the capital city of the state we had a great meeting with our sponsor, Verizon. We were very glad to have the opportunity to meet with some of the executives. We had a great meeting speaking to them about the ID. 4 and our time touring the U.S. We really appreciate their super support of our journey. The rain couldn’t put a damper on our day and we continued through to Marietta, GA. There we saw a small auto lot that had a green 1950’s Volkswagen Beetle that was also a taxi parked along the road. The German vehicle was bilingual and said “HOLA!” on the windshield. In front of the small brick building there was a red wacky tube-man doing it’s dance. We then arrived in East Point, GA to speak with Kuehne+Nagel, another one of our sponsors. They welcomed our team with a nice sign. Many of the employees came out to learn about what we have been doing and it’s always awesome to speak to them about how their world connects with ours and the ID. 4 tour. As we headed south through Georgia, we saw yet another oversized load that was a mobile home. Since we have been in the southern states we have seen these homes being transported more and more. A wonderful brick building was similar to the architecture that we saw throughout the state. Eight white pillars stand tall and support the tall awning that had a circular window. At Warner Robins VW one of the very kind managers waited for us to arrive and she was excited to see the ID.4 as she was a big fan of our tour. In the evening, we charged the ID. 4 and used this little time to take a short rest. Our day concluded in Columbus, GA.
